Proclamations

 

I was so glad to have a turkey skit before Thanksgiving!  I wanted to write a skit about the official turkey pardon, and sort of set it up to be tied with the bottom line for our day.  Of course, our turkey is praying hard because Thanksgiving is here.  When the military shows up to collect our turkey for a trip to the White House, the turkey is quite nervous of course.  You know things work out okay, of course.

We'll see how things work out for Peach and Blossom, our turkeys that will be there at the White House this weekend.   Peach and Blossom just need to keep calm and gobble on!

Here below are the pictures Maddie took from the service this morning - it was a super fun day, the concluding service of our "Call of Duty" series.

It was a really nice morning, and afterwards we dropped by Mellow Mushroom to grab a bite to eat.  It was a really nice afternoon together. No turkey on the pizza there, but it was still really good!

Tonight we saw a few Christmas flicks, including "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and "Shrek the Halls."  We started reading our book again, "The Shepherd, the Angel and Walter the Christmas Miracle Dog."  We were enjoying this short book so much that we actually finished the whole thing!  Mom and Maddie were cracking up throughout - it is pretty funny with a really great ending.  

We had a nice day today.  Tomorrow we're enjoying a Thanksgiving break, with Maddie off of school.  She's looking forward to sleeping in.  Mom and I have a dentist visit tomorrow, with Mom having some looming work to be done there. 

It was a good day though.  We said our prayers tonight before bed, and got some rest after the Plush Entourage got tucked in.  Goodnight!
