The Most Important Rule of the Himalayas

This morning started the month of February at KidPak, and we were back to the Elevate series with another amazing service.  The freezing temperatures didn't exist for us in this area, although the initial drive in was a bit nervous.  The trees were all iced over, the evergreens leaning this way or that.  The bridges were not frozen though, and we got in just fine.  But the first service was pretty quiet in the audience.  The families were probably thinking the second service was a better choice to go to, which explains the higher numbers there.

Madison enjoyed the skit, part three of the ongoing story of some mountain climbers.  These two new characters with the hockey jerseys were the totally radical ones that had those important rules of the Himalayas to share. The most important rule, of course, is never - ever - never eat the yellow snow.

We had some great Winter Games here, the girls winning the second service and the boys dominating the first.  It was somewhat of a snowball fight, with the snowballs being marshmallows being thrown at a target.  Madison couldn't help but start a snowball fight in the office after service, of course.  And yes, we had the yeti back for another cameo.

Here he is.  Or she?  We can't tell who the yeti is, as this is a Scooby Doo type of mystery.  We do know it's not Cliff Carabiner, the character you see to the left.  Clint has been a fun leader of the expedition up the mountain, but all the other characters have been a lot of fun too.

Afterwards, we went back home for a bit.  Madison practiced her fractions, and did a bit of piano as well.  Following this, we did a bit of this Lara Croft game that Madison has been so attached to lately.  It's a co-op game, which means Daddy and Madison have to work together to get through various levels.  Some are puzzles, and some are simple areas where you have to shoot all kinds of various weapons at ugly monsters galore.  Standard video game stuff, but Madison loves it.

In the spirit of the Olympic Games, we watched "The Mighty Ducks" tonight, mainly because we want to see a team play ice hockey slightly better than the Gladiators did last night.  Obviously, it's all pretend, but it is still a fun movie.  We've seen it before, but after the game last night, Madison was wanting to see this movie again.

Before bed, it was time for reading, prayers, and bed.  We'll get some sleep tonight, because we have a big week ahead of us.  But it's been a great weekend, hasn't it?  Yes, it sure has!
