Early Mother's Day

It was Saturday today, so we did a few things.  Okay, a lot more than a few things.  We did get to sleep in, which is good.  But soon after, we were off and to the races, so to speak.  Daddy and Madison made our trip to Lowe's, in order to build a gift for Mommy:  a flower delivery truck.  You'll probably see a picture of this tomorrow, part of Madison's presentation to Mommy for the big day.  There weren't anywhere near as many kids there today for the clinic, but that didn't phase Madison, who did nearly all the hammering and sticker work this time around.  The end result is a wooden truck that rolls, and delivers flowers in the back.

Afterwards, we went home and snuck in the gift so that Mommy wouldn't see it.  There is nothing subtle about Madison:  she announced, "Don't peek!"  And she told Mommy specifically where not to look to not find her gift!

Soon we were out the door, and up to White County.  We made it there to visit G-Gma once again.  We met Nana and Ye-Ye, Aunt Shain, David and Jonathan.  We had dinner and a dessert as well, but spent most of our time catching up and talking about various topics, from blooming flowers to the latest movies coming out.  Of course, G-Gma doesn't care about the latest movies so much, so that topic of conversation we veered away from a bit.  But it was nice to visit.  It poured rain up there - the day was cool and overcast.  The rain came down sudden and hard, just the way I remember rain in White County.  What a view at the airport.  That's where we lived for a time, this beautiful and amazing view of Mt. Yonah, and Pink Mountain, towering nearby.  They're so distinctive in appearance, especially now with the overcast clouds hanging low.

We drove home afterwards, and watched "Planes" once more with some popcorn.  Daddy was working on his script for Mother's Day some, but the rest of the day was just that:  rest.  We put Madison to bed earlier tonight, and did the same ourselves, although Mommy had a tough night a little later on.  Not much sleep for the Mommy on Mother's Day.  She'll get some catch-up rest tomorrow...

Until then... goodnight!
