Wearing White

Well, we wore white today.  It's after Labor Day, and that's what we chose to wear.  This is probably because of the old rule about not wearing white after Labor Day.  Madison wore her white and so did Daddy, and we did so proudly.  I was surprised to discover that nearly everyone at work was wearing white as well, though after extensive interviewing, it was surmised that no one thought about the old rule when making their choice.  So far, we have not received any warnings, fines or letters.

Madison had a good day at school, and had a good time at piano practice.  She even had a good time grocery shopping with Mommy.  It was on the way home though that she got a tremendous headache.  It was a powerful one, probably the worst I've seen her with.  She came home crying and immediately went to the couch where we quickly got her some medication.  Daddy covered her with a blanket and held her close as she sobbed.  It took some time, but the pain went away - and soon she was running around again as if nothing ever happened.  She even ate a little.

It's no fun seeing your child that sick.  But this was somewhat bizarre, as she was drastically unwell, and then very quickly perfectly fine.  Still, we made her relax as we watched a movie together - and we went to bed early so that she could get enough rest.  Hopefully, tomorrow she'll wake up just fine.

I hope this didn't happen because she wore white...
