Valentine's Cheese

Mom had some more bloodwork done today, so we made a little road trip of things while we were out. Of course, that meant dropping Maddie off at school first.  She had a decent day today, doing a little work on a self-portrait with media project that is coming along pretty well.  Her teacher stopped what she was doing to tell Maddie how great of a job she was doing, and I think so too.

After giving blood, Mom and I went down to Braselton for a bit.  First things first:  eating.  We had a breakfast date at Cracker Barrel.  Maddie could tell where we were because her phone tracks us.  No sneaking anything past her!  Anyway, Mom and I had a nice meal, and then we were off to work at Braselton, moving quite a few things around in the storage area.

We came straight home after that, although I did get my treadmill time in, running now while watching the latest movie I ordered, "Overcomer."  It's pretty good!  I'm almost done with it, running along as I watch television.  A good combination.  I'm still in the book of Revelation, although not on the front porch.  The temperature is now dropping, dropping, dropping, returning to that winter vibe.  That's okay - we enjoyed the week last week with those remarkable temperatures.  Just an early peek at spring.

Maddie got home, ready to go to taekwondo soon after.  She did have some math homework of course, but we had a good bit of taekwondo.  I went to the grocery store, and got all kinds of groceries again, filling up the storehouse here.  I also got some Valentine's Day cheese!

Yes, it's Wensleydale cheese, with a bit of flavoring too.  Should be nice to eat on Valentine's Day.  I've got a few plans for that day, all my gifts pretty much ready to go.  I've never been this prepared before, so I'm at peace about this one - you have to be ready for Valentine's Day if you're the husband!  One fun thing that we're doing that day is going to the Atlanta Aquarium, which Mom made reservations for.  That'll be nice.

Maddie was kicking people again in taekwondo, plus meeting a new student who is also from Forsyth County.  It's a pretty good drive for taekwondo, but that's just to show the quality of the program there at Edge.  Maddie loves it, and of course had a great time tonight, working on forms and of course getting to know the new student, along with the others there.

We got home and Maddie got busy with math homework.  Mom and I watched a movie, and that was pretty much our day, a good Monday.  It's chilly outside.  Here we go, diving back into winter.  Tonight we read before bedtime, reading from our book from the Discworld.  Esme is going up against Diamanda, although we'll probably read about that tomorrow.  You'd have to be crazy to go up against Esme.

Anyway, we said our prayers and the whole Plush Entourage got tucked in.  Time for some sleep.  Until... in the middle of the night... under the blankets... that crazy Frog Prince started singing, "Just one kiss...!"
