I got another virtual post card today, another milestone along the way with this virtual Niagara Falls walk. It's 75 miles long, but I'm doing a little over two miles each time I'm on that treadmill.
It was a glum day today. We were at a funeral for a good while today, one for a young lady that we watched grow up, one who was very special to the church and everyone that knew her. It was an emotional afternoon.
Adding to the glum, the Braves lost again tonight, ending their season. It was sad to see it end, but they did much, much better than anyone anticipated. Winning the National League East Division was huge, and it was a fun year watching the team play. Now it's time to pick another team to cheer for until the World Series. Any team but the Dodgers, right?
Maddie is at a Bible study with Nate on Wednesdays, and it's great. She's there with others she knows, and everyone's enjoying the time together. She was at school this morning of course, and college seems to be going well. She has stories to tell about teachers and class, and things seem to be almost like high school in that there's this balance of occasional fun moments in class with just a lot of classwork and homework. She's keeping busy, but doing well.
We said our prayers tonight after reading, ready to turn the page to a new day.
