Wonder Woman Waffle Wednesday

This morning, Daddy was taking a few candid shots at the elementary school.  Of course, these weren't really so candid as they might appear - they were all posed.  Here is Madison with a few of her classmates in home room.  And below, here are some of the guys reading a book about disasters.

It was a fun this morning, and made better by the promise of a new tradition at KidPak:  Waffle Wednesday!

Everyone brought in different breakfast items, all centered around waffles.  We had three or four different waffle makers there, including the Mickey Ears one that you can see Mommy using there.  It was a fun time, and as a bonus, the office smelled like bacon and waffles for pretty much the rest of the day!

We had service tonight, which went really well.  We had a large board game spread across the floor - a LEGO Batman version of "Chutes and Ladders,' with a bit of a spin on it.  The Two-Face space was one where you had to flip a coin in order to see if you get to move forward or backwards.  The Riddler space was where kids were asked a riddle.  And so on... of course, there was a lot of Bible in there as well, with a focus on a memory verse:  "If you are proud, you will fall."  There was a lot of falling, but a lot of climbing too.  Kids really liked it!

Madison is signed up to help with the yearbook now as well.  It's her enrichment class, starting next Wednesday after school.  It'll be a lot of fun for her, as she's with her favorite art teacher.

Today though, she was back to watching another DVD that Daddy picked up from the library, another movie of the DC Super Hero Girls.  She didn't like this one as much as the first one, but she did enjoy it.  It seems as if the Super Hero Girls are a new thing for her, particularly Wonder Woman, of course.    That's her new favorite superhero, so obviously we'll be seeing that movie again some time soon.  Yes, it comes out this month, but that just might be a Christmas present for later.

Hey, that would be a great title for this blog entry with lots of alliteration:  Wonder Woman Waffle Wednesday!
