This morning we were back in Oakwood for Team Edge practice, and Mom and I were non-stop all day with various tasks - getting costuming, putting together imagery and music for tomorrow. Amazing tools we have to use for that sort of thing. Here's one bit of artwork here:
Amazing stuff. Soon, no one will ever be looking for artwork online, because you can get some pretty amazing things just asking for it. Whatever you ask for, out comes four different examples that you can choose from. Pretty cool stuff. This turkey will show up tomorrow on screen just as a fun background image.
Speaking of Thanksgiving imagery, today was the first day for a Thanksgiving-themed virtual marathon, and I've gone about two miles so far.
And right away within the first two miles, I've already earned my first post card. It's going to be a really fun Thanksgiving season. In fact, tonight we brought up "Free Birds" and watched that movie tonight before bed. We also watched the first episode of "Hawkeye," so you know the Christmas season is here for a soft opening.
Today we were cleaning up a bit, including moving off another pumpkin or two to the woods. I checked on last week's pumpkins, and some are faring better than others!
It was a busy day. We're ready for tomorrow, thanks to a trip to Mellow Mushroom. I needed some pizza boxes as props, so we got some pizzas to go, bringing them home to enjoy them here. That was yummy pizza - we ordered it, and timed it just right when we got there.
Maddie got to visit with Nate today, and that was nice for them both. Nate's been sick with strep throat, but pretty much recovered today. Maddie made him a nice get-well card, plus she got him a lot of that candy from Halloween - Almond Joys. He appreciated that!
Maddie finished her 1000 piece puzzle today, and it looks great! This was the one from the library, but we have a few 1000 piece puzzles in the basement that we haven't done yet, so we just might have to bring up one of those next. I wouldn't say Maddie is addicted to puzzles when she gets started... but it's fairly difficult for her to get up and walk away from one at times. But I suffer from the same puzzle addiction, so there's that.
Meanwhile I've been under the weather still with this persistent cough. Mom has created this great mixture to go with boiling water for a breathing treatment, and it's been working really well. So well, in fact, that I did it about three times the last two days. Can't wait to have my lungs back to normal!
We read tonight, and we said our prayers. It's Daylight Savings Time again, so we get an extra hour of sleep tomorrow, so that's nice!
