Hooked on a Feeling Once More

This morning was a good morning at KidPak - we returned to our "Inside Out" themed series, and it was super fun!  Mom got these costumes together for Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, and the actors did a great job.  We also visited Goofball Island for a fun game of charades with animals and emotions that turned out to be pretty fun.  Of course, the message was a great one too - we're following the story of David in the Bible, at least for a few weeks here, and that's been good too.

Maddie took the pictures above, and of course others from our service, ones that she uploaded to the church site.  She's been doing that for quite some time, building up quite a gallery there.

We got home and had a nice meal, and took a Sunday afternoon nap.  We did some chores, cleaning the back deck and other areas in the back yard a little bit before coming in.  I was on the treadmill, marching forward through the entire Monty Python series, with only about twelve episodes left or so.

Maddie and I visited Ace Chemical Plant for a good bit tonight, playing a pretty huge level of LEGO Batman 2.  And after that, we all watched a classic movie Maddie hadn't seen yet:  "Apollo 13."  Just this week, astronaut Jim Lovell passed away, and this was somewhat in his honor, but also to show Maddie how incredible of a story that mission was.  Great movie too!  Of course, he had other missions in space, most notably that first orbit around the moon.  He was definitely a great American.

We read from Discworld tonight, moving along to the Fool's Guild.  And after that, time for prayers.  It was a pretty full day!
