Consultations and Luaus

We're still doing Summer Xtreme here - we had a bit meeting today, as we're getting closer and closer to the huge week at KidPak, and there's still so much to be done.  Right in the midst of all that, Mom and I had this three-hour consultation with a representative of an organization that could possibly help with Mom's health issues.  It wound up being something that I got caught up in too, the two of us talking with this woman over a video call for quite some time.  But in the end, we decided to move forward with some interesting plans for the next year or so, things that will affect our lifestyle choices quite a bit.  The end result is of course something designed to make us healthier in many ways.  We'll see how that all pans out, of course.

Maddie and I did a bit of LEGO pirating to combat the stress of all the planning, and we're approaching the 100% mark there on the game we've been casually replaying.  This is one we first played back in 2011, and using my careful calculations at math I can tell you safely that it was a long time ago.  Nevertheless, it's fun, and we've been enjoying our march towards 100%.

Tonight Maddie had another luau, a scheduled thing at FCY.  Her time there with the youth is starting to wrap up, but she was excited to go tonight after the full day.  The idea of seeing Nate there helped out of course.  But she had a good time.  There was shaved ice, Hawaiian shirts, music, limbo games, and just a festive atmosphere tonight, and the rain held off.  It was fun!

We read tonight from our book, and yes, the Plush Entourage still comes down the hall with Maddie to hear the latest few pages of adventures in the Discworld.  It's been a good ongoing story, one we'll be wrapping up in the next week or so.

After reading, it was time for prayers.  Everyone was ready to get some rest, because next week we'll need to be rested up!
