We're stuck in a pretty rainy pattern, and everything is looking lush and green - but wet. And cold too! It's an interesting season where things are feeling pretty chilly, a blackberry summer I think it's called. My, that makes me want to get some blackberries. There's a Clearly Canadian flavor of blackberry that's pretty good. Anyway, a Blackberry Summer is where it is unusually cold - and that's where we're certainly at right now. Too cold to go swimming, and too cold to wear t-shirts outside. It's rainy and wet, and cold. And yet, it's not miserable cold - I actually kind of like it!
Tonight Maddie had taekwondo, and I was there watching her help instruct other smaller students, and that's fun. She has a great time with younger students and feels really happy knowing that she's helping them improve.
Afterwards, we all were watching the students practice a good bit for the routine with Team Edge. That practice went on a good bit, and will continue tomorrow. Testing is Monday though, and that's an interruption of sorts as all the students move forward with their belt testings. Maddie only has a few more to go until she gets her third degree belt.
We had enough time to watch an episode of "Loki" tonight, and then we were back to reading our book from the Discworld. We're nearly done with it, and the entire Esme Weatherwax saga. We'll read about her in other books, more like cameos. But first she has to defeat all these vampires!
We said our prayers tonight after reading, and then it was time for bed. Got another big day tomorrow for Maddie, a long one full of fun.
