Ah, here's Jingle Bell directing his own little choir this morning. The bananas have appeal! It was a decent day today - although we didn't have anything to do tonight anywhere. No worries! We had fun watching some Christmas movies. Maddie chose "Christmas at the Plaza" first, a Hallmark movie we picked up last year that we enjoyed. Afterwards, we were watching "Babes in Toyland," because I needed it. I love that movie, a time travel visit to the glorious time of Annette and Tommy and the entire supporting cast with colorful sets, costumes and music. It's hokey and childlike, and that's what I like about it. It's just a fun Christmas movie!
Maddie had a decent day today. We had a big meeting at church today that was eventful in regards to curriculum, and things are a little unsettled for the moment. But we'll be okay, and we're trusting things are going to be good next year.
In the meantime, things are going well today overall. It's cold though. We did read tonight, and we continued with "Hogfather" again, and the villainous attack of Teatime and his thugs on the Tooth Fairy's home turf. We said our prayers afterwards, and got ourselves to sleep quickly under the warmth of the covers. It's going to be a super cold week. The temperatures out there are cold enough to keep the bird bath frozen over, although we pour boiling water on the ice and break up the surface with a screwdriver. We have food for them constantly, and the birds are loving it, including a group of five bluebirds, to Mom's delight. Tonight, hopefully everyone is all tucked in and warm. It's chilly out there!
