Festive Herd

This morning we got up a little earlier so we could make our special trip over to Chick-Fil-A because there was a really special visitor there - Santa Cow!  We've had pictures with Santa Cow over the seasons, and Maddie was all on board with doing another trip to pose for a picture with Santa Cow, especially when we could enjoy some breakfast together!

I even got asked to pose for a picture too, so we made it a bigger group picture with me, Maddie and the festive herd.  

It was so much fun, we made a AI song about Santa Cow for our upcoming contest this week.  I wrote the lyrics pretty quick and plugged them in for a fun new song:

Speaking of songs, you can see Jingle Bell and Snowflake looking on as the Peanuts gang perform for a Christmas concert.  We watched this special last night, so it made sense that Jingle Bell was ready to see the characters in person, plus the famous Christmas tree there too!

Ah, here's Maddie below, helping set up for church service tomorrow.  We'll be doing an ugly sweater contest, and the contents of these boxes are decorations for an ugly sweater.

Should be fun!  We did a few things at the office today, and on our way out took some pictures in the lobby.  

We were on our way to Nana and Ye-Ye's house today, because there we joined Aunt Shain and Hannah, and all of us together decorated the Christmas tree that we brought in.  Quite a few ornaments, but we got them all on there!

It was fun!  Mom made egg nog milkshakes for everyone - earlier I went to Publix to get the egg nog ice cream.  We brought along the tumblers, these really nice glasses we got some time ago at Arby's, of all places.  They look good though, and it was nice to have a seasonal milkshake as we listened to Christmas music and got their tree decorated.

The rest of our day was quiet, but pleasant.  We watched a few things, a few more Christmas movies.  It was a nice day today - we closed things out reading more from "Hogfather" and saying our prayers.  We'll see you tomorrow!
