Tonight the revival continued, and it was the greatest service I've personally been a part of. I was glad to hear our pastor have similar thoughts a few days later, although he was speaking of this entire series of services. Each one has had a bit of a different focus and texture to it, and tonight's was just a wonderful blessing to me. The evening started out with play practice - we had younger kids for our Nativity portion of the production, and they did well enough. Mom saved me a seat upstairs, and Maddie was up there too in the main sanctuary. She sat with some friends, while Mom and I were sitting further to the back. It was an amazing night, and we were all pretty happy to hear the revival would extend even more, just two more nights.
That was pretty much the story of the day. Being a Wednesday night, it was FCY night again, and a United sort of night where al the campuses join in one place at the church. Maddie gets in early because of the fact that her dad is on staff, and she is able to save a few seats for friends but also sit there and listen to the practicing band, pray over the seats with all the choir and team leaders, and eventually watch the flood gates open as people pour into those main doors racing for the best seating areas. The lines outside are big, people anxious and anticipating a powerful night. They'll get it.
We are working feverishly on KidPak material for this weekend, and past that a lot of different things towards the Christmas productions. It keeps us busy. This morning, I was continuing y exercise on the iFit program with part two of an eighteen-video series that walks to basecamp of Mt. Everest. I'm alternating that with actual jogging now, getting my heart rate in better shape. It helps me when jumping later at night in the church services!
It's cold out there. The weather switched abruptly to cold, and it's pretty chilly at night. But it's okay, because it's November, right? Here we are, the start of the big push towards Christmas. We've been listening to Christmas music already, on vinyl at home and in the car - so many Christmas CDs to go through!
Tonight we read of course, more from Tiffany Aching's adventures. The plush entourage was there to listen, and it was nice. After that, prayers and some sleep. We needed it!
