Our pumpkins are turning orange. Only three of them, and again, our plant is struggling on the whole. But here they are, and yeah, this might be as big as they get. But they're ours and we grew them ourself, and so we're rather proud of them! The back yard is pretty lush right now with the amount of rain that's been ongoing, although the reach of the pumpkin vine has been a lot more extensive than anticipated. The vines even found their way to the windmill, and are climbing up the windmill to the very top. No pumpkins up there, of course.
The rain is more prevalent at night, so the skies have been gorgeous lately at sunset, with layers upon layers of cloudscapes, towering columns of colorful clouds with the sun peeking over the top. It is not uncommon at all to see a rainbow, which we did today, and see a dark column of rain pouring down off on someone else in the distance.
It was a decent day today- nothing going on tonight, of course. We watched "A Series of Unfortunate Events," and I was also writing for our skit this weekend, which is number three of our current series. We're moving through this series pretty quickly - it's just seven weeks long, and then we're off to "The Quest." We'll do a new Pilgrims series in November, and then hopefully we'll visit Narnia in December. We'll see, but we're looking forward to it!
We said our prayers tonight, and of course we read our book. We got to sleep pretty early tonight, as the school schedule is catching up with us!
