Texas Roadhouse

Uncle George is in town for a short window, so we were out there at Texas Roadhouse tonight, where I had the fourth best steak I've ever had.  Yes, I categorize these, because that's important.  My favorite was a chateaubriand from Valentine's Day at the Sundial.  Second was an Outback Steakhouse entree in Athens.  Number three was a steak here at the Texas Roadhouse in Gainesville, and now number four is there as well.  Yes, steak is important!  

But I digress.  We had a good time tonight, the family together just next to Willie's corner there.  It was a great meal and a nice time out, something we're starting to do again.  We were all out at taekwondo earlier today, watching Maddie do leadership class and black belt class.  She stayed after for a great little thing for the older students, a small class on self-defense.  It's a new feature that Master Edge is hosting, and it's all pretty useful stuff.  

It was a rainy day today.  We didn't do as much earlier, just spending time with Uncle George, going out to get a few chores done and just doing a good bit of catching up.  It was a nice day and a short visit - he'll be leaving tomorrow.  We got home and after the restaurant and taekwondo, we got home and it was pretty late.  Still, we made time to watch the new LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation movie, which was fun.  I love the Emperor in that. 

We got to bed after that, as tomorrow is still a school day.  But it was nice getting together again.  We read tonight, and we said our prayers.  We're still at the Third Island Prison, but it's looking like there will be a great escape soon enough.  We're really looking forward to that escape, as the villains have been pretty nasty.  We prayed, and then all of the plush friends that Maddie takes along with her were off to bed, followed by Maddie, ready for a good night's rest.
