Coffee Frog
As part of Madison's classes involving the five senses, one project she did had a refreshing smell: it's an air refresher. It smells like coffee, as she's put bits of that into pieces of cotton and stuck the cotton to the shape of a frog. I am unclear at present why a frog would smell like coffee. It's not the first thing I think of when I think of frogs. Or coffee. Still, it's a unique project and Madison was rather proud of it, waving it in our noses so that we could smell the new flavor in the air. Neither Mommy or Daddy drink coffee regularly (nor do we eat frogs), but we do like unique coffees from time to time, and there's always room for a cup of hot tea. Especially chai tea. That is quite delicious, although Mommy has to have normal tea a few times a day. As the weather gets chillier, we'll have more room for this sort of beverage. Some of our earliest dates were at coffee houses, drinking special cups of hot beverages as we played a game of Scrabble. It was especially nice to do starting in the fall. Just today in fact, Daddy had a pumpkin spice latte from Starbuck's, which is really good. It's such a seasonal thing too - you've got to try one if you haven't yet. Be sure they add every ingredient - but leave out the frog.
